Peace Mediation · Salmon Arm, BC

Helping People Be Heard and Move Forward.

Professional mediation for workplaces and families across Salmon Arm and the Shuswap. A calm, neutral space for difficult conversations.

About Peace Mediation

Peace Mediation Services provides mobile, hourly mediation designed to create a safe, neutral space for families and workplace teams to have difficult but necessary conversations. These conversations are guided with care, helping participants build empathy for one another, improve understanding, and work toward resolving interpersonal conflict in a constructive way. The goal is to support the restoration of relationships wherever possible.

Services are delivered onsite or at mutually agreed locations, offering flexibility, convenience, and minimal disruption to daily life or business operations. This mobile approach allows mediation to happen in the environment that best supports open and respectful dialogue.

Mobile Mediation Salmon Arm & the Shuswap

Launching in Salmon Arm, BC in May 2026, Peace Mediation Services was founded in response to a clear gap in local support options for resolving relational conflict. Many family and workplace challenges do not require immediate legal action, and they are not always resolved through counselling alone. Between these approaches is an important space for mediation — where communication can be rebuilt, perspectives can be heard, and new directions forward can be explored.

Meet Julie Bond

Peace Mediation Services was founded by Julie Bond, a trained mediator with a Certificate in Collaborative Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. She brings together a strong foundation of professional training and extensive lived experience in education, facilitation, child and youth development, and family support.

Julie completed her Certificate in Collaborative Conflict Resolution in June 2025 and was among the first graduates of the newly revised program at the Justice Institute of BC. This training reflects current best practices in mediation and qualifies her for membership with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada and MediateBC, supporting ongoing professional development, ethical standards, and collaboration within the field.

"What most people need isn't a verdict — it's a chance to be truly heard."

A Career Built on Listening

Prior to launching Peace Mediation Services, Julie worked as a Collaborative Practice Facilitator with the Ministry of Children and Family Development. She brings over 15 years of experience as a teacher in the public school system and in post-secondary settings supporting English Language Learners, alongside a Bachelor of Education from UBC and a Master of Education from Simon Fraser University.

Peace Mediation Services is built on this foundation: helping families and organizations navigate difficult conversations with clarity, respect, and care, so that relationships can be better understood, repaired, or respectfully redefined where needed.
